❋Spirit Of The Carneddau:

SPRING | Saturday 2nd - Sunday 3rd May 2026
AUTUMN | Saturday 26th - Sunday 27th September 2026

Step into the wild, and learn to see it differently.

A space to slow down and see differently. The Spirit of the Carneddau offers an immersive experience in a wild landscape—designed to deepen your connection, refine your approach, and create work with greater meaning.

❋ Small Group Experience

Limited numbers allow for a more personal approach, with time to respond, adapt, and work closely as moments unfold.

❋ Creative Development

Through conversation and reflection, you’ll refine your way of seeing and begin shaping a more personal body of work.

❋ A Slower Way of Working

We move with the landscape, not against it—giving you the space to observe, anticipate, and create with intention.

❋ Immersion in the Wild

Time spent within the landscape builds a deeper connection, allowing your photography to feel more natural, aware, and considered.

A slower, more intentional way of seeing the wild.
There are still places in the UK that feel truly wild.
The Carneddau is one of them.
Step away from the noise, into the mountains—and begin to see more.
Workshop Overview

A Wild Landscape, Unfolding Slowly

This is not about chasing images or working through a fixed plan. Instead, the experience is built around slowing down and responding to what unfolds around you. Moments are not forced. They are noticed. Compositions are not rushed. They are developed. Over the course of the weekend, you’ll begin to understand how to read a scene as it forms—how to work with light, movement, and atmosphere in a way that feels considered rather than reactive.

Time to Observe, Space to Create

We work within the landscape, not against it. There is time to watch behaviour, to understand rhythm, and to position yourself with purpose. As the conditions shift, so does your approach—adapting, refining, and becoming more intuitive. In that space, something changes. You begin to anticipate rather than chase. To simplify rather than overcomplicate.mTo create images that feel more connected to the moment they were made.

Guidance That Moves With You

Throughout the experience, guidance is there when you need it—quiet, considered, and responsive to what’s happening in front of you. There are no rigid structures or constant instruction. Instead, we work together as situations develop. Conversations happen naturally. Feedback is given in the moment, where it matters most. This allows you to stay immersed in the experience, while still being supported in developing your work.

A Different Way of Working

By the end of the weekend, it’s not just your images that will have evolved. It’s your approach. A slower, more intentional way of working. One that values observation over urgency, and connection over control. Something you can carry with you long after you leave the mountains.

And as your time in the landscape deepens, so does your understanding of how you see, how you work, and what you’re drawn to.

Day Two

Set Intentions & Reflect

Together, we pause to consider our goals, hopes, and direction. This is about aligning with ourselves and with the journey ahead. This is a chance to reconnect with what brought you here—your questions, your hopes, your turning points—and consider how they’ve shifted or deepened.
