ITINERARY

Your adventure begins on the Shetland Mainland, where you’ll meet Kevin and the group for a welcome and orientation. After checking your gear, we board the ferry to Fair Isle, offering sweeping sea views, dramatic cliffs, and early opportunities to spot seabirds.
On arrival, settle into your accommodation and enjoy a short orientation walk. If time allows, take your first sunset photography session, capturing puffins returning to their burrows and the island’s rugged coastline bathed in golden light.

Head to the clifftop puffin colonies, where Kevin guides you in capturing intimate portraits and action shots of puffins carrying sand eels or landing at burrows.
Afternoon sessions focus on dramatic coastal landscapes and seabird interactions, experimenting with light, motion, and creative composition. Sunset offers the chance for silhouettes and golden-hour cliff shots, perfect for storytelling images.

"Fair Isle is where my passion for wild places truly found its voice. It’s a tiny island, yet it holds a vastness that’s hard to describe—a place where the world slows down and nature takes centre stage. The first time I set foot here, I was struck by its raw, untamed beauty: the steep cliffs alive with seabirds, the endless skies shifting with the weather, the sense that every moment could bring a new discovery.
Over the years, I’ve returned again and again. Fair Isle isn’t just a backdrop for photography—it’s a living, breathing character in its own story. It teaches patience, rewards stillness, and reminds me why I fell in love with wildlife photography in the first place. This is why Fair Isle has always been special to me. It’s more than a location—it’s an experience, a relationship, a source of inspiration that continues to shape my work and my journey as a photographer."
