Every winter, I head north into the Scottish Highlands. Most people would probably question why, but for me there's nowhere else I'd rather be. I love the solitude and silence the mountains offer at this time of year. Before dawn, I'll be making my way up the hillside, often in deep snow and strong winds, in search of one of Britain's most remarkable animals the mountain hare.Winter is when the mountain hare is at its most remarkable. As the snow arrives, its coat turns completely white, disappearing into the landscape. While I'm battling the wind, deep snow and freezing temperatures, the hare moves effortlessly through the mountains, perfectly adapted to life in these harsh conditions.Shaped By The Mountains is about more than photographing mountain hares. It's about returning to these wild places year after year, finding inspiration in the solitude, the silence, and the resilience of an extraordinary animal that continues to draw me back every winter.
About The Prints-
- Print Materials
Every Shaped by the Signature Line print is produced using the giclée printing process on Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308gsm, a museum-quality 100% cotton fine art paper. Paired with archival Epson pigment inks, this combination delivers exceptional detail, rich tonal depth and outstanding colour accuracy, while offering excellent longevity when displayed and cared for correctly.
- Print Sizes
All dimensions shown refer to the printed image area. Each print is supplied with a generous white border to allow safe handling during framing and to help protect the artwork in transit.
Available sizes are listed on each product page. If you're interested in a custom size that isn't currently available, please get in touch and I'll be happy to discuss the options.
- Framing
All artwork is supplied unframed, giving you the flexibility to choose a frame and mount that best suits your space. The included white border provides your framer with room to handle and mount the print without affecting the image.

- Quality Assurance
Every print is produced using museum-quality materials and is individually inspected before dispatch to ensure it meets the highest standards. From the printing process to the final packaging, every step is carefully checked so your artwork arrives in excellent condition and is made to be enjoyed for years to come.
- Print Samples
If you'd like to see the paper and print quality before committing to a larger piece, printed samples are available for £25. Each sample is produced using the same paper, inks and printing process as the final artwork, giving you an accurate representation of the finished print. If you go on to purchase a full-size print, the £25 sample cost will be deducted from your order.
- Caring for Your Print
Fine art prints should always be handled with care. Hold the print by the white border using clean, dry hands and avoid touching the printed surface wherever possible.
If your print arrives rolled, carefully remove it from the tube and avoid rolling it again, as fine art paper can crease if handled incorrectly. For the best results, I recommend taking your print directly to a professional framer, who will have the experience to mount and frame it safely while preserving its quality for years to come.

Every print is produced to order, so please allow up to 14 working days for your artwork to be printed, quality checked and dispatched. While most orders are completed sooner, production times may be slightly longer during busy periods.
Once your order has been dispatched, you'll receive a confirmation email with tracking details.
- Shipping
Orders are carefully packaged to ensure they arrive safely. Smaller prints are shipped flat in protective packaging, while larger prints are securely rolled in heavy-duty postal tubes.
Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on your delivery destination.
- International Orders
Worldwide shipping is available. Please note that customers outside the UK may be responsible for any customs duties, import taxes or handling fees charged by their local authorities. These charges are not included in the purchase price or shipping cost and are the responsibility of the buyer.

As every print is produced to order, I'm unable to accept returns or exchanges if you change your mind. If you have any questions about sizing, framing or choosing the right artwork before placing your order, please don't hesitate to get in touch—I'm always happy to help.
- Damaged Prints
Every print is carefully inspected and securely packaged before dispatch. In the unlikely event that your print arrives damaged during transit, please contact me within 7 days of delivery and include photographs of both the print and the packaging.
Once the damage has been confirmed, I'll arrange a like-for-like replacement of the same artwork and size at no additional cost. Replacement prints cannot be exchanged for a different image or an alternative size.
